Our Charisms The 4 Pillars of Our Life

The SACJ charisms are Eucharistic Adoration, devotion to the Child Jesus, a Marian Spirituality, and a sincere Contemplative Way.

We adore Thee most Holy Lord Jesus Christ, here and in all Thy churches throughout the world, because by Thy Holy Cross, Thou hast redeemed the world. ~Our Seraphic Father Francis of Assisi

EucharisticAdoration

“We have come to do Him homage!” (Mt 2:10)

Many years ago, wise men followed a star and with great joy found God in a Child. They bowed down and worshipped Him. Today, we find this same Jesus, though hidden in the Most Holy Eucharist, waiting for us to lay our hearts at his feet in loving adoration.

Venite Adoremus, Dominum!

Our community is dedicated to adoration of our Eucharistic King solemnly exposed upon the altar. Adoration is our specific work, a means of growing in personal holiness and helping souls get to Heaven.

In the Holy Eucharist, Jesus makes Himself very small and vulnerable. In reparation for the coldness of many souls and the offenses committed against Him in this Sacrament of Love, we wish to console His Heart. We bring before His Eucharistic throne all the intentions that are given to us, and we pray in a special way for priests, our diocese, our benefactors and families and all the needs of the Church and the world.

"O admirable heights and sublime lowliness!
O sublime humility!
O humble sublimity!
That the Lord of the universe, God and the Son of God, so humbles Himself that for our salvation He hides Himself under the little form of bread!"

~Our Seraphic Father Francis

In a culture that often seeks to be independent of the Fatherhood of God, we choose to take the path of trust and total dependence upon the Heavenly Father, imitating the virtues of the Divine Child Jesus. He leads us joyfully to His Father by the Little Way of purity, docility, and confidence in His Love.

Devotion to the Christ Child deepens our trust in God for we that there is nothing to fear from a God who would humble himself to become a little Child for love of us.

"Jesus has chosen to show me the only way which leads to the Divine Furnace of Love; it is the way of childlike self-surrender, the way of a child who sleeps, afraid of nothing, in its father’s arms."

-St. Therese of the Child Jesus

MarianSpirituality

"They found the Child with Mary his mother." (Mt 2:10)

We take as our patroness the Blessed Virgin Mary under the titles of the Immaculate Conception and Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom and Mother of the Eucharist.

We entrust ourselves to Jesus reigning in Our Lady’s arms. In her school of love, we advance more quickly in the way of holiness.

Our sisters are consecrated to our Lady using the St. Louis de Monfort consecration.

Mary is our queen and our mother who leads us to her Son!

"I will hide you under the veil
Where the King of heaven is sheltered
My Son will be the only Star
To shine henceforth before your eyes
But that I might always shelter you
Under my veil, close to Jesus, You must remain little
Adorned with childlike virtues."

by St. Therese

After the example of the Holy Family of Nazareth, the sisters strive for holiness through silent contemplation, a deep interior life and humble service within the community while interceding for the needs of the Church and of the world.

The sisters participate daily in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (being open to a reverent Mass in either form of the Roman Rite), together with adoration, Divine Office and mental prayer, periods of spiritual and intellectual formation, domestic work, daily recreation and occasional apostolic activity.
